RALEIGH, NC – November 03, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Carolina Signs and Wonders is producing building address signs, exterior dimensional letters and building identification signs for condominium, office and mixed-use properties in downtown Raleigh and surrounding districts. The work is managed from the company’s Raleigh office on Fayetteville Street.
Downtown buildings change names and owners more often than many people expect, and street numbers on older properties are sometimes small, faded or hidden by trees. Delivery drivers, rideshare drivers and emergency crews all depend on being able to find a building quickly from the street.

“We get calls from property managers whose buildings are hard to find from the street even though everyone downtown knows them by name,” said Todd, owner of Carolina Signs and Wonders. “A clear address over the entrance solves a surprising number of problems.”
The company’s address signs include large dimensional street numbers, illuminated numbers and plaques for entrances, garages and loading areas. Numbers are sized and placed so they can be read from the street and from vehicles approaching the building.
Building names and tenant identification are typically produced as dimensional letters in aluminum, stainless steel or painted materials, mounted flush or on standoffs and lit from behind where evening visibility matters.
For larger facades, Carolina Signs and Wonders produces building signs that combine names, logos and tenant panels, with mounting planned for masonry, glass and metal panel walls common in newer downtown construction.
“Owners want a building sign that looks like it belongs to the architecture,” Todd said. “That usually means fewer materials, cleaner letters and lighting that is subtle rather than bright.”
Exterior signs downtown are subject to city sign rules, and some properties fall within historic districts with additional review. The company prepares drawings and coordinates approvals before fabrication begins.
Installation often requires lifts, sidewalk permits and coordination with building management, and crews can schedule work for early mornings or weekends to limit disruption to tenants and pedestrians. When a building changes owners or names, existing letters can be removed and the wall repaired before new signs are installed.
Property managers and building owners in Raleigh, Durham and the Triangle can request a site visit and quote through the Raleigh office.
