AIM Sports Group, a leading sports organization focused on enhancing youth sports across four pillars: venues, events, technology, and media, has named Nicole Vargas Polster as its Director, SoCal Cup Tournament Operations for its flagship SoCal Cup properties.
Polster is a volleyball lifer whose career spans elite competition, program building and large-scale operations. As an athlete she was a standout at Long Beach State, a member of the USA National team, and competed professionally in France’s top-tier Nantes Pro Volleyball “A” league.
As a coach and administrator, Polster has run Division I programs end-to-end. She served as assistant coach at the University of the Pacific before taking over as head coach at Cal State Fullerton, where she directed recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, NCAA compliance, fundraising, alumni/donor relations, academic support, gameday operations, and coaching staff development—delivering the program’s most wins since 2010. She is currently completing a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine, sharpening her expertise in systems, leadership, and scalable operations.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nicole to the AIM team,” said AIM Sports Group Founder and CEO John Gallegos. “The perspective she brings from the volleyball side combined with her knowledge of operational management is exactly what we need to strengthen the SoCal Cup for clubs, athletes, and families.”
“It’s an honor to join AIM Sports Group at such an exciting time for youth volleyball,” said Nicole Polster. “I’ve dedicated my life to volleyball, competing at the highest levels and helping athletes achieve their dreams. I know firsthand what it takes to run a successful operation and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the team at AIM Sports Group and the SoCal Cup.”
Founded to provide elite competitive and developmental playing opportunities for young athletes, AIM Sports Group’s SoCal Cup has grown exponentially over the last five years and now hosts some of the largest and most competitive youth volleyball tournaments and events in the country.
In her role, Polster will lead the planning, system management, and execution of all volleyball league play and national events. She will drive operational excellence for AIM’s SoCal Cup properties and deliver premium event experiences that support the organization’s continued growth and innovation in youth volleyball.
