Hiya, a global leader in AI-powered voice protection and identity, today announced that Hiya Connect is now available to eligible Vodafone customers in Ireland, extending Branded Calling to a new market.
Using Vodafone’s CAMARA-based Branded Calling platform, Hiya Connect allows approved businesses to display their name when they call an eligible Vodafone customer, giving legitimate businesses a clearer way to identify themselves before a customer answers.
The launch builds on Hiya’s existing work with Vodafone in Ireland, where Hiya Voice Firewall has already been deployed to protect customers by categorizing fraud and spam calls. Branded Calling is a distinct capability as it identifies the confirmed business making the call.
Consumers increasingly screen calls from numbers they do not recognize meaning important calls from banks, healthcare providers, delivery services and public services can go unanswered. Hiya’s 2026 State of the Call report found that 86% of consumers do not answer calls from unknown numbers, illustrating the broader trust challenge facing all businesses.
“Consumers have learned to distrust unfamiliar calls, and they have had good reason to. Restoring that trust takes both stronger protection from suspicious calls and clearer identity for legitimate ones. By bringing Hiya Connect to Ireland, we are giving consumers more useful information before they answer and helping businesses reach the customers they serve.”
-Alex Algard, CEO and Founder, Hiya
“Branded Calling is an important part of making voice communications more trusted and useful for customers. This launch extends Vodafone’s Branded Calling capability into Ireland and supports our ambition to build a scalable ecosystem for trusted business calling across our markets.”
-Johanna Wood, Director of Network APIs, Vodafone
Building on Hiya’s existing Samsung coverage, Branded Calling is now available across eligible Vodafone devices.
Businesses can register their calling numbers with Hiya to begin branding eligible calls. Financial institutions and government organizations must first complete Secure Branding, based on the CAMARA-aligned Verified Caller framework, before their identity can be displayed. Businesses can register today at hiya.com.
Vodafone operates an open branded calling ecosystem supporting multiple approved providers.
